History of the Shire

The hobbits migrated from the Vales of Anduin across the Misty Mountains, eventually founding the Shire in 1601 of the Third Age. Though it may seem small in the grand scheme of Middle-earth, this peaceful corner's story is woven into the very fate of the world.
